 MARKET MIXER EVENT
Looking for something fun and unique to do this Friday night?
 
Come meet new friends at the Market! For just $15, you will enjoy two pours of fine wine from the owners of the Market's new
Thief Wine Shop and Bar, which opens in July.
 
As a special treat, there will be small snacks to enjoy, as well as a live performance by local musician, Martin Potter.

The Market Mixer will take place in the Palm Garden on the second floor of the Market from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The event includes free parking and in addition to the two pours of wine included in the package, a cash bar will also be available (wine, beer, soda, and water).

TrollyRide the FREE Trolly Loop all summer long!
 
The clang, clang of the trolleys can be heard around downtown during the summer months. The free service offers 20-minute headways, making the trolley an easy connector for grabbing a bite, heading to a show or doing a little shopping. The scenic route captures the charm of the Westown, East Town and Historic Third Ward neighborhoods while also offering convenient stops at many downtown attractions, including the Milwaukee Public Market, Midwest Airlines Center, Milwaukee Public Museum, Jazz in the Park, River Rhythms, the farmers markets, Milwaukee Art Museum, Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin, Betty Brinn Children's Museum, and the theater and hotel districts. Not to mention hundreds of street-level retail outlets, restaurants, spas and salons.

The downtown trolleys operate 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Wednesdays - Saturdays now through August 16, 2008. For route and schedule call 414.562.RIDE..

"EASY SUMMER ENTERTAINING "

If you are a new couple looking for great, affordable ways to entertain at home, or if you're looking for a fun night out, this class is for you. Britta Kramer, personal chef, will show you how to make entertaining easy with delicious recipes and beautiful table toppers.

"CELEBRATE THE BASTILLE "

This cooking class gives you two for the price of one, with chefs Brian Moran and Azmi Alaeddin, celebrating the Bastille with flavors of the Mediterranean.

"ITALIAN PICNIC "
Thrusday, July 10th 5:30 to 7:00 PM, $29
In this special Italian Picnic class, Chef Alisa Malavenda will help you plan your next family outing in the spirit of Festa Italiana.You'll learn backyard entertaining tips, as well as the spices and seasonings to use to give your summer snacks a wonderful Italian flair!

   "MANDELLA'S FAVORITES"
Saturday, July 12th 2:00 to 3:30 PM, $29
Chef Tony Mandella has been an executive chef for many top local restaurants and will be here to share some of his favorites with you.  You'll learn how to make Crab Cakes Chinoix Style with a dijon ginger sauce, Pasta with Roma tomatoes and asparagus and topped with truffle butter.  Chicken breast stuffed with fontina, sage and prosciutto and served with a champagne sauce.  And finally a Baglioni sauce over fresh seasonal berries. 
  

"EATING FOR ENERGY "
Wednesday, July 16th 5:30 to 7:00 PM, $29
In this class, food coach Suzanne Monroe will focus on healthy cooking that provides lasting energy for hearty summer play. You'll learn about which specific foods to avoid, and which foods to eat for increased energy and stamina in these long summer hours.
